Mike is not the company - we are a team of the best people in the
industry. In the past 2 years we have re-invented our company by
attracting and integrating an awesome team of professionals, who are
dedicated to be the best in the industry: Chad, Al, Sonia, Jen and
Jake. Meanwhile, 10 year veteran General Manager, Glenn Morton is the glue
that holds it all together - widely recognized as the best sales and
customer service person in the windsurfing or SUP industry.
Our
culture is led by Mike's vision - a culture of integrity, transparency,
innovation, hard work and passion to offer the best service and value to
our customers. This also requires we work with vendors that match our
corporate and personal values.
That's where the problems begin in
this screwed up little cottage industry. Outside of Bic Sport, few
professional business people work in the U.S. windsurfing industry. This
frustrates Mike, since he has a marketing degree, worked in banking
after graduation, general/corporate account manger for world's largest
inventory company (Mike's territory had fastest growth rate in the
country) , pharmaceutical sales to doctors and medical equipment rep to
hospitals, before founding the business in 1994. Glenn has 3 university
degrees (including a teaching degree while working for Windsurfing
Direct) and Sonia has a law degree.
