A New Sail Development Initiative from Point-7 on Vimeo.
Point-7 sails feature exclusive UV reflective Black (metallic
particles)
X-Ply reinforced materials MADE IN U.S.A.
The window uses a lightly tinted material with UV inhibitors, to prolong the lifespan of the sails and optimize visibility. (Lasts much longer than clear transparent or X-Ply film). 5.8 to 7.0m have full X-Ply window and panels! The 7.5 has X-Ply luff and foot to keep sails light and responsive.
The AC-X, the all new testosterone pumped no-cam sail
from Point-7. Tested and developed in the Canary Islands in all
thinkable conditions, from the nuclear winds in Pozo to the choppy
waters of Fuerteventura and back home at the development HQ in Tenerife.
Final testing was carried out at Lake Garda in Italy to complete the
bigger sizes and ensure overall performance in light winds.
Mast Choice Advise: The sails have been tested with
C100+, C80+ , C60, C30 in SDM or RDM

Why Point-7 SailsThe brand name originates from the Windsurf Racing scene. The first sailor across the race finish line receives.7 points. Second place would then get a score of 2 points, 3 points for third, etc. At the end of the event, each race-score would be added up and whoever has the lowest score would be named winner of the event. It has often been that little Point-7 difference that has decided the winner of important titles.
That small difference is also what defines our products.
Performance:Powerful sails with early planning abilities, great stability and light feeling in strong winds. These are the main characteristics of the black sails. These features gives a great sailing range to each size, allowing it to have less sails in your personal quiver. With only 8 sail lines and 3 mast lines: all with very specific characteristics for targeting each single windsurfers special needs.
Quality:Utilizing the newest technologies and materials available; Point-7 sails are always one step ahead of the industry. Using primarily UV resistant materials, the life of a sail is prolonged substantially. All year non-stop testing of materials and sails in all various conditions, warrants unbeatable quality in the products. 30 unique details are worked in on each sail line to ensure durability and less wear.
From the first day we decided to make our sail range; we knew that for us to be competitive and stand up against the major brands, we would have to offer the best possible quality, performance and service to our clients.
The materials we use are all produced in the United States, our wave and freeride lines are reinforced with X-ply and all sails made with Black UV resistant materials.
The aggressive look of the sails is constructed with essential materials only. There is no excessive printing on the sails which wears out with time, nor any added stickers which in turn would add weight. All sails are developed year round by the P7squad to obtain the best feeling, guaranteeing you unbeatable sailing experience. .
The development runs in 3 important stages and locations. The Canary Islands being used the winter period, where the sails are tested in various conditions from light of shore winds to the strongest that the islands has to offer. During the summer months development and testing then moves to Lake Garda, Italy to complete the range of use of products: 2 great locations which combined, offer a wide variety of conditions and levels of windsurfing. The final stage of testing is then when the sails are being brought out on the race courses to measure the latest technology and performance of the sails against the competition. The P7 team participates with great success from local, to the most important international events. We strongly believe the 2011 line-up to set new standards for quality and performance.
